Kern Strings

Submit

What is this?
This creates all the possible combinations of the first glyphs with the second glyphs, and sets them in control strings. This is useful for building kerning proofs.

For example, if the first glyphs are ‘abc’, and second glyphs are ‘xy’, it will generate a list of: ‘ax ay bx by cx cy’.

What are 1st vs 2nd glyphs?
This identifies which side of the kern pair the glyph belongs to. With the 1st glyphs, we’re looking at the right side of the glyph. With the 2nd, we’re looking at the left side.
